One man is in critical condition after a shooting took place at the Forrest Houses in the Bronx, according to the NYPD. 

Police say a 21-year-old man was shot in the head inside of a building  at the housing complex at around 4 p.m. and was immediately rushed to Lincoln Hospital. Investigators have not identified the victim at this time and it is unclear if the victim and suspect knew each other.  

Residents who spoke to News 12 said they are in shock that this took place, as it happened in what they refer to as one of the quieter parts of the housing complex.
