A man was shot in the leg early Friday morning in Tremont, authorities say.

Officials say a man was shot in the leg just before 5 a.m. near East 178th Street. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The shooter is at large.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police.
