Police are looking for a man who stabbed two people inside a neighborhood laundromat in Allerton.
The brutal attack happened last Friday, and part of it was caught on video.
A female employee and a male customer were stabbed inside a 24-hour laundromat during a robbery attempt on Boston Road at 3 a.m.
The video shows the suspect behind the register looking around when a female employee tries to stop him. Police say the 37-year-old employee was attacked with a knife and stabbed multiple times in the head, face and body. The 45-year-old male customer tried to intervene and was stabbed in the hand.
Authorities say the male suspect ran out of the laundromat without getting any cash. Both victims are in stable condition at NYC Health + Hospital/Jacobi. One of the victims was set to undergo surgery Wednesday.
Customers tell News 12 that there is no security during the late and early morning hours near the laundromat. They also say there's usually only one employee working during the night.
One employee says the suspect is a customer and lives in the neighborhood.
