The NYPD is searching for a suspect who allegedly tampered with evidence during an arrest that took place in transit in the Bronx.
Police say that on Sept. 10 just after 7 p.m., two patrol officers were affecting a lawful arrest of a person at the 149th Street and Southern Boulevard subway station on the 6 line platform, when an officer's body-worn camera fell to the ground during the arrest.
An unknown individual walking past the incident approached the fallen camera and intentionally kicked it onto the roadbed, before fleeing on foot to an unknown location, according to law enforcement officials.
The suspect in question is described as a male in his mid-20s with a light complexion that is approximately 5 foot 10 inches and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt, grey pants and white sneakers.
