An NYPD officer is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in the Bronx.

Police say 27-year-old Ndegnior Kpan was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers were initially responding to a 911 call for an assault. During their investigation, they determined Kpan was in an intimate relationship with the 15-year-old assault victim, according to the NYPD.

Kpan’s online NYPD profile reveals he was on “extended leave” at the time of his arrest. Kpan has been with the NYPD since July 2024.

Kpan is charged with rape, endangering the welfare of a child and assault.
