An NYPD who was struck on the head was released from the hospital on Saturday.
Members of the NYPD and the United Clergy Coalition greeted Lt. Richard Mack with applause as he exited New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Mack was one of three officers who sustained injuries while trying to make an arrest at the Jericho Unity March on the Brooklyn Bridge Wednesday.
The officer wore a patch over his injured eye and thanked other officers for their work and expressed his willingness to protect the Black Lives Matter protesters.
