Police have released the image of the man wanted for an attempted rape on July 17.

Investigators said the incident happened back on E. 150th Street and Wales Avenue just after midnight.

They said a man approached a 20-year-old woman and attempted to rape her. He ran off going northbound on Wales Avenue.

The woman is expected to be physically OK.

Police said the man was last wearing a black hat, red T-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.

They are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
