NYPD releases video of people throwing rocks, bottles at police cruiser

Although many protests have been peaceful, there have been some violence directed toward NYPD officers.
The NYPD tells News 12 over the course of the last two weeks hundreds of NYPD officers have been injured.
Police released video of one of the incidents. They are asking the public to help identify the people in it.
News 12 is told its from just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 and was recorded near the corner of St. Marks Avenue and Flatbush Avenue.
Police say NYPD officers in a marked police cruiser were responding to an officer’s call for assistance when a group of people began to attack the vehicle. The video shows people throwing rocks, bottles and other items at the car, hitting the officers.
Police say both officers were taken to the hospital where they were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
