A Bronx park has been the target of a recent string of robberies of teen by other teens, according to police.
Police say many of the robberies took place inside or in the vicinity of Claremont Park.
A total of 13 robberies have taken place in the same area since Jan. 11, a total of 11 of the victims were teenagers. Four suspects have been arrested and they are all between the ages of 13 and 17.
“It is a different breed now,” said resident Courtney, referencing the recent youth crime. “It was things going on when I was coming up… they are younger, they are ruthless.”
Police say that the suspects stole phones and money from each victim and were armed in each incident.
The NYPD is searching for two suspects who are still on the loose. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact the NYPD immediately.
