The NYPD says it is looking for a person it believes may be responsible for stealing thousands of dollars from an 85-year-old woman.

Police say the woman was walking near Marion Avenue and East 195th Street when a man stole her shopping cart containing an iPhone, several debit and credit cards and $40,000 in cashier's checks.

The NYPD says suspect fled eastbound on East 195th Street and the woman was not hurt.

Police ask anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit a tip online.
