NYPD: Shoplifter threatened Co-op City Stop & Shop employee with screwdrivers

The New York City Police Department is searching for a man accused of not only shoplifting but also threatening a store employee with screwdrivers in Co-op City.

Police say it happened at the Stop & Shop on Bartow Avenue on Nov. 6. They say when an employee spotted the man trying to leave the store with unpaid items, she confronted him, and he threatened her with screwdrivers.

No one was hurt.

Anyone who may recognize the man is urged to contact the NYPD.
