NYPD: Shots fired at police officers in Crotona Park East section; no injuries reported

NYPD says shots were fired at officers in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx Friday night. They say it started just after 7:30 p.m.
There was still an extremely heavy police presence on Vyse Avenue.
News 12 was told no one was injured in the incident.
Details as to what happened were not immediately known, but police confirmed that shots were fired at officers and the suspect is believed to be at large.
An NYPD helicopter was in the air, and there were officers stationed on Vyse Avenue and East 174th Street.
A News 12 crew on the scene observed a SWAT team walking towards a building with shields and tactical gear.
Some people who live on the block said they did not initially hear anything until they saw the influx of officers taping off their street.
It was not immediately known as to what lead to the shooting and if the suspect ran into the building after shooting at police.
