A man is wanted for stealing from a Mount Eden store and attacking an employee, according to the NYPD.

Police say the suspect attempted to steal detergent from a store located on Jerome Avenue on Feb. 1. When an employee attempted to stop the suspect, the alleged thief took out a screwdriver and slashed the victim in the hand before running off.

The employee is expected to be OK.

The suspect was last seen wearing a green jacket, light blue jeans and white sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
