NYPD: Suspect brutally stabs man who refused to hand over his bag in Claremont Village

According to the NYPD, the victim was allegedly approached by a man Tuesday morning on East 169th Street and Morris Avenue and demanded the victim to hand over his bag.

Police say a manhunt is underway after a 43-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in Claremont Village.

According to the NYPD, the victim was allegedly approached by a man Tuesday morning on East 169th Street and Morris Avenue and demanded the victim to hand over his bag. The victim refused and a fight broke out. The suspect stabbed the victim multiple times in the torso and hand.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The suspect got away with the bag, police say. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
