NYPD: Suspect wanted for punching woman, using anti-gay slur in Bronx deli

Authorities say a man inside the Hugh J. Grant Circle bodega used a slur against the 25-year-old victim before punching her in the mouth and causing her to fall to the floor.

Police are searching for a suspect who used an anti-gay slur and punched a woman in a deli on Friday.
Authorities say a man inside the Hugh J. Grant Circle bodega used a slur against the 25-year-old victim before punching her in the mouth and causing her to fall to the floor. He then fled on the 6 train, according to the police.
The victim was treated for minor injuries by EMS at the scene.
Authorities say the suspect was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with plastic bags around his feet, dark colored pants and a mask.
Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
