A wanted individual was shot during a struggle with officers at a traffic stop in Brooklyn, according to the NYPD.

Law enforcement officials say at 11:50 a.m., officers from the Brooklyn Warrant section attempted to stop a vehicle containing a wanted individual on Georgia and Liberty avenues.

While attempting to take the wanted male into police custody, a struggle took place and a detective fired a shot, striking the wanted male in the left leg.

The wanted male was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
Officers were also removed to the hospital for evaluation, but at this time the NYPD says none of the officers were shot.
