The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to identify the woman who they said assaulted an 83-year-old man in Marble Hill.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. on Thursday along West 225th Street near Broadway.

Police said the victim was just walking on the sidewalk, when the attacker pushed him to the ground.

Investigators said the victim suffered head injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

The attacker took off.

Several people, who asked not to be identified, spoke to News 12 on Saturday and said hearing about the incident is unfortunate.

“This is an evil thing, evil act from a wicked person with a sick mind,” said one man.

“I think it’s kind of disgusting that something would happen like that,” said another. “I hope they get caught.”

Police are asking anyone with any information about the attacker to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
