Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 booster shot is said to provide strong protection against the Omicron variant, and greatly reduces the risk of hospitalization, according to a clinical trial in South Africa, the New York Times says.
The study, found that two shots of the vaccine reduced the risk of hospitalization from Omicron by about 85%.
