The city's Office of Emergency Management activated its flash flood emergency plan Wednesday due to heavy rainfall overnight.
Officials urged Bronx residents to drive slowly and to report any downed power lines to 311 or Con Edison.
OEM officials said to avoid driving through flooded streets because the water may be too deep.
Intermittent showers are in the forecast Wednesday. Wet weather is expected to return to the area on Friday and last throughout the weekend.
