NYPD: Off-duty corrections officer arrested for smearing feces on apartment door

The NYPD took an off-duty corrections officer and landlord into custody after reports of him smearing feces on a renter's door.

The NYPD took an off-duty corrections officer and landlord into custody after reports of him smearing feces on a renter's door.
Police say the incident took place at a building on East 83rd Street in Brooklyn.
According to police, the woman involved saw the landlord inside her apartment. She reported she walked toward the bedroom and then the landlord ran out.
When the she got to the bedroom door, police say she noticed feces smeared on the door frame and door, the handle, door mat as well as the bathroom doorknob and faucet.
Police arrested the corrections officers after a report was made.
No information has been given on the motive for the landlord's actions.
