An off-duty NYPD officer was robbed in the Riverdale section of The Bronx late Sunday night, police say.
The robbery happened on Waldo Avenue at 10:30 p.m.
Police say the 31-year-old off-duty NYPD officer was inside of a car when a man on a two wheeled vehicle came up to him and swung a helmet. He then snatched the officers' belongings and got away on that same scooter. Officials say he went toward Manhattan University and was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black and red helmet.
No one was injured in this attack, but the thief is still out there. If you know anything, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
