Officials say that at least four people have died in Westchester as a result of Wednesday's storm.
Two of the victims have been identified as Fran and Ken Bailie. Their deaths are under investigation by the Harrison Police Department.
The couple were long-time computer science professors at Iona College.
College officials say they never made it home from classes on Wednesday.
Police say they started a search for them overnight, and they found their vehicle on a guardrail pinned against a utility pole at Lincoln Avenue and Brookside Way in Purchase.
Police say the Blind Brook Creek surged the banks to Lincon Avenue, where the car was located.
They found the body of Ken Bailie about one-quarter mile from the vehicle. Police are still searching for his wife.
Westchester County police are investigating the other death, a 69-year-old man named Samuel Weissmandel, of Mount Kisco.
He was headed from Rockland County to Mount Kisco when his car apparently got submerged in water right near the Saw Mill River Parkway in Elmsford. Police found his body and he was pronounced dead.
Another man was found dead in his car on South Columbus in Mount Vernon. Officials say Alan Dorsainvil was in his car when it became submerged in water, and he became trapped. His cause of death is currently unknown pending results from the medical examiner’s office.
