A firefighter was injured fighting a three-alarm fire in Stamford, officials say.

A firefighter was injured fighting a three-alarm fire in Stamford, officials say.
The fire broke out on Strawberry Hill Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday.
When crews arrived, they say smoke was billowing out of the 8th floor of the building.
Once additional crews arrived, they were able to quickly contain the fire to the apartment where it started.
Nearly 50 firefighters were on the scene.
Officials say one firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital but later released.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
