An East New York high school had some special visitors on Thursday, including Mayor Eric Adams and other elected officials.
The group was at Thomas Jefferson High School to talk about mental health.
They heard from students about the need to have online resources, like Teen Space.
Teen Space was created six months ago to help high school students navigate mental Health.
Some of the teens say having access to a therapist allows them to understand their feelings and gives them a chance to express themselves in a healthy way.
Mayor Adams says the positive response to this resource shows that the online platform is exactly what these students need.
Organizers say 7,000 students have signed up and they're excited to see it grow.
