The grounds of an old gas station will soon be repurposed to serve the East New York community.
The space between Fountain Avenue and Logan Street on Atlantic Avenue will be turned into affordable and transitional housing as well as a retail space for neighbors in the area. The site is still under construction.
The finished product promises 105 units of supportive housing and 68 units of affordable housing as well as a 169-unit family shelter. The new space is a collaboration between Hudson Companies, Jericho Project and Help USA.
Neighbors can expect to see the completed project standing by 2024.
