A Wilton summer camp will have Fairfield County children in masks - but not the type one would expect.

Olympian Fencing Studio was able to open last summer but with very limited capacity. Owner Galya Pundyk is an Olympic fencer who took home gold for Ukraine in the sabre event in Beijing in 2008.

She says Olympian's Beginner Foil Camp is the perfect introduction for campers trying out fencing for the first time.

Pundyk says every one of last year's campers came back for classes in the fall. She says fencing builds physical and mental skills that last a lifetime.

Olympian will hold one more beginner camp this summer from July 12 through 16.

Coaches say they're seeing more interest in fencing ahead of this year's Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
