One person was injured after a northbound 4 train was hit by a tree Saturday night.

According to an MTA spokesperson, a falling tree struck the train at about 8:26 p.m. while it was approaching the 161 Street station, hitting the operator’s cab and shattering a front window.

EMS responded and treated the train operator, who had minor injuries.

The MTA says there were no injuries to the roughly 200 passengers onboard.

Train service was suspended between Woodlawn and 149th Street–Grand Concourse as all passengers were evacuated from the train.

All riders were safely evacuated and walked to the 149th Street station.

As of 10:26 p.m. Saturday night, the tree had been removed, and regular service had resumed on the 4 line, according to the MTA.
