Over 1,000 toys donated to Holiday Toy Parade in Nassau

Nassau police and the community came together to bring hope to kids this Christmas.
The fourth annual Holiday Toy Parade was held on Friday in collaboration with the Toys of Hope Foundation and local communities.
Due to the pandemic, instead of a parade, the toys were dropped off at school districts in the Uniondale, Roosevelt and Freeport communities.
"You look at this truck that's loaded with toys that is donated to give to the kids, this is great" says Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder. "It builds trust with the community and the police, it also brings them some happiness and some smiles."
The team dropped off over 1,000 toys on Friday.
