If the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack has taught the world anything, it's that we must tighten our cybersecurity defenses and infrastructure.
Pace University is hosting a virtual Gencyber CryptoBot camp to educate high schoolers interested in cybersecurity.
The students are attending the two-week summer camp from all over the world.
Co-sponsors include the National Security Agency and the National Science Foundation.
Pace University's Dr. Pauline Mosley says while the camp is informational, it's also a place to help students de-stress given the past year.
"Some of them have been impacted by COVID and this camp is healing. It's been very, very healing for a lot of students to be able to come together, take their mind off where they are, work together doing something positive to protect ourselves and to protect our community," says Mosley.
