Now, the question I have about the mayor is that the weather down in DC, a warmer than the weather here because it's got to be at least a little bit better. It is a little bit warmer in DC. But you know, we are dealing with that really cold pocket of air that is taking us just for one more day. But we are going to turn our eyes for the weekend an early look for what are some potential impacts for this storm. So some thunderstorms in December, that's what is possible for Sunday evening into Monday, steady rain isolated flooding high winds of 40 MPH or even stronger that can knock down some decorations even cause some scattered power outages and then temperatures start to crash. So we're forecasting a high of 61 on Sunday by Monday night. It's going to be in the 30. So that's something that we need to monitor in terms of tomorrow. Another very cold start, temperatures will be near 29 feeling much colder than that high. Tomorrow will be in the low forties, feeling like the mid thirties throughout the day. A few flurries possible by the early afternoon drying out and clouds clearing out by Friday. Seeing more of that sunshine seasonable fill with highs in the upper forties. Saturday will actually be the pick of the week. We're going to see that beautiful sunshine highs in the mid fifties and then we're watching for some stormy weather on Sunday.

Padres pitchers attended Bronx colleges before their Major League stints

Well, a homecoming for a couple of local baseball stars this weekend and news chars Greg Thompson was at the Yankee stadium to catch up with them. Greg. It's not every day. There are major league baseball players in town who might know the Bronx better than the Yankees, but that might be the case this weekend, the San Diego Padres actually have two pitchers who both went to college in the borough, Fordham University product, Nick Martinez and Tom Cosgrove, who went to Manhattan College. We spent the bus ride from the airport telling some stories and some stories that we are a little hesitant to relive, but we gave the guys, I don't know what it's like to party in the Bronx or Manhattan a little taste of what that might be like a conversation that's sort of been going on since spring training when Martinez who's in his sixth season in the majors with a stop in Japan in the middle got made a point to introduce himself to Cosgrove swing and he struck him out a rookie who just made his big league debut back in April. I found out he's from New York and then he went to Manhattan and I let him know I went to Fordham and we kind of hit it off there and kind of talking about our experiences in the Bronx coaches from Manhattan bounced over to Fordham, vice versa, similar players, players from Manhattan went over to Fordham when the coaches switched. So we have some mutual friends. Cosgrove was actually born in the Bronx before growing up in Staten Island. So a lot of those friends are expecting to see him this weekend coming here was a little bit different. You know, you have to make sure that the people that helped get you here like comfortable and they got tickets and they're able to see you and stuff, kind of give them advice and try not to leave so many tickets so that they can save some money and got to learn how to say no. Sometimes both players swear that their conversations are more about things like that and less about things like the fact that Manhattan beat Fordham in this year's battle of the Bronx. I think it's the opposite of trash talk. I think it's something we could bond over. I mean, I've been to Fordham a bunch. I almost went to Fordham. So I think it's like less of a rivalry and more of like a kind of something we share. And now the two of them are sharing a bullpen for a team that had world series expectations before the season at Yankee Stadium, Greg Thompson.
