Police say a Park Slope man is accused of sexually assaulting a child for several years.
They say 59-year-old John Russell was arrested and charged on July 30 with sexual conduct against a child and acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 years old.
Investigators say Russell is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl over a two year time span from when she was 9 to 11 years old. They say the girl is now 13 years old.
Authorities say they believe there may be other victims and encourage them to come forward.
News 12 is told that Russell worked at the City College of New York as a research associate.
His bail was set at $150,000 bond or $50,000 cash. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 27.
