Fears are mounting for some Parkchester residents over a road they say is more dangerous since a stop sign was removed.
Residents say the intersection of St. Peter's and Frisby avenues has been a problem for years. Last week, the addition of a sidewalk and other construction prompted officials to remove a stop sign. Residents say they are now concerned that there will be even more accidents at the intersection. And even worse, they fear someone will get hurt.
The construction company working at the location says it's the responsibility of the Department of Transportation to replace the stop sign. The company does, however, expect the stop sign to be back up within a week.
