Artists and musicians in the Bronx are getting a financial boost from some of the state's top lawmakers.

Artists and musicians in the Bronx are getting a financial boost from some of the state's top lawmakers.
Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced over $8 million in funding will go to nearly 300 grants distributed by the National Endowment for the Arts to organizations statewide.
Some local organizations that will receive funding include the Bronx Children's Museum, the Bronx Council on the Arts, Inc., and Ghetto Film School, Inc.
The grants are said to help support the arts, music and boost educational and cultural programming.
