STORM WATCH: Flash flood risk expected on Monday

A Flood Watch is in effect for our area on Monday. We are tracking the slow moving storms which will be scattered on your Sunday evening and widespread Monday.

A Flood Watch has been posted for our area from noon today through Monday. Storms will be capable of producing 2" of rain with locally more than 4" of rain in spots.

Headlines

  • Today is mostly cloudy and dry to start with scattered showers in the early afternoon.

  • Widespread showers and storms are expected this evening, mainly after 5 p.m.

  • Severe weather is expected Monday in the form of soaking downpours capable of flash flooding.

FORECAST

TODAY: Partly sunny, with scattered showers developing this afternoon. Muggy but not as hot. Highs near 80-degrees.

TONIGHT: Heavy rain is possible. Watch for ponding on roads. Temperatures are in the mid-60s.

MONDAY: Cloudy with periods of heavy rain is expected. Storms will be capable of producing significant flooding in spots. Temperatures are in the 70s.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy, with additional showers and thunderstorms possible, especially during the afternoon. Temperatures will reach near 80-degrees

MID WEEK: Warm and humid but generally dry with sunshine. Highs in the 80s, approaching 90-degrees by the end of the work week.
