Partnership offers free haircuts for kids heading back to school

A partnership between the Urban Youth Initiative and the Bearded Barber is offering up to 24 public school students complimentary haircuts.

With the new school year right around the corner, kids are looking forward to debuting fresh haircuts as they head back for in-person learning.
A partnership between the Urban Youth Initiative and the Bearded Barber is offering up to 24 public school students complimentary haircuts to make sure that all kids have the opportunity to do that.
Children from kindergarten through eighth grade were lucky enough to receive a fresh cut, before school returns on Sept. 13.
Julian Forbes, the executive director of the Urban Youth Initiative, says that kids want to be ready to head back after sitting behind a computer screen throughout the pandemic.
