Neighbors near the Allerton Avenue Substation say they’ve seen an abundance of trash for years, but a recent uptick has them concerned for the community.
One parent News 12 spoke with also said he’s nervous raising his teenage daughter in the area after seeing drug paraphernalia and empty alcohol bottles littering streets in the neighborhood.
News 12 reached out to the MTA who said in a statement, “NYC Transit is committed to being a good neighbor and will evaluate conditions at the location.”
