The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS) provides vulnerable New Yorkers with housing and services.

Williamsbridge Gardens residence opened in 2023, providing 170 units of permanent housing.

A total of 85 of those apartments are for low-income tenants and formerly homeless singles and families.

After over a year of living in a shelter with her two kids, Dolly Campbell says the Center for Urban Community Services is something she's wanted for years.

"I'm very grateful that God has led me to them. They have helped me tremendously with my family and my home," says Campbell.

CUCS provides tenants with permanent supportive housing along with onsite medical services, mental health services, tutoring, and more all in the same place.

Another development is in the works and will be in Soundview by the year 2029. It will bring the same model and services that Dolly is able to thrive in.

"I have my own. It's mine, so that's what I'm very grateful for to have a home that I can provide for me and my children," says Campbell.
