Nassau County police say a person was hospitalized in Massapequa on Wednesday.
The 84-year-old victim’s son says his home security cameras captured the health care aide getting into bed with his mother and then stabbing her while she was asleep.

Sources say it was a targeted attack and that no one is currently in custody.
Police say the victim is in stable condition.
Schools were temporarily placed in lockout during the police response.
