A 66-year-old man has died and a 52-year-old man is in the hospital after police responding to a 911 call Thursday morning in Gravesend found them unconscious.
Police say they found the two men laying on the ground unconscious in front of a house on West Ninth Street between Avenue T and Avenue S just after 4:30 a.m.
Police say the two men exited a car that morning and got into some kind of argument with the driver. News 12 is told it may have been a cab driver.
The argument escalated, and police say the driver punched the two men repeatedly in their heads before driving off. At this time, the NYPD believes that the car was a sedan and are working to determine if alcohol was involved or not.
EMS transported both victims to Maimonides Medical Center, where the 66-year-old was pronounced dead. The 52-year-old victim is expected to recover.
Police say they are looking for the suspect.
