Police say one person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting Monday morning near Penn Station.
They say it happened at around 6 a.m. at 35th Street and Eighth Avenue. Authorities believe the incident began when the three victims got into an argument with the shooter at a nearby McDonald's.
Police say the confrontation may have been drug-related.
News 12 was told that the victims left, but the suspect followed them to a subway station and opened fire.
One man was shot in the neck, and another man was shot twice in the body. A third victim was shot once in the leg.
Police say the 43-year-old man shot in the neck died.
Police say the gunman may have been with two other people. They do not believe either group knew each other before the argument this morning.
Officials say they believe the suspects drove off in a dark-colored vehicle.
