Police say a man was killed and three others were injured following four separate overnight shootings in the Bronx.
Officers say they found a 20-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg on the fourth floor of the Bronx River Houses around 2 a.m. They say was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Police say around the same time, a 19-year-old man was shot in the thigh on East 137th Street.
Around 2:30 a.m., authorities say 28-year-old man was shot in the right arm on Seward Avenue.
Officers say these incidents followed a fourth shooting that occurred around 10:30 p.m. Friday, where a 32-year-old man was struck on his backside on LaFontaine Avenue.
The three victims were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. No arrests have been made in any of the shootings.
Last month, the number of murders and shooting incidents declined in New York City compared with September 2020.
However, recent data from the NYPD shows overall crime this year is up more than 30% from this time last year.
