Police say a one woman is dead and several other were injured in a car crash on Saturday morning in Hunts Point.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. when BMW and a Ford Focus collided at Viele Avenue and Manida Street.

A woman died at the hospital after being pulled from the Ford, according to police. The driver and three others were taken to the hospital. Three of them have severe injuries.

Officers say the driver of the BMW remained on the scene while a passenger took off running.

Witnesses who spoke to News 12 say they constantly see people partying and racing on these streets, and that they're scared to work their night jobs because of it.
