Police: 1 injured in overnight Morris Heights shooting; shooter on the loose

Police say a suspect is on the loose in Morris Heights following a Sunday night shooting that injured a 49-year-old man.

According to the NYPD, police were called to Nelson Avenue and West 174th Street at around 10 p.m. and found the 49-year-old man with a bullet wound to his left thigh.

The victim was taken to SBH Health System, and he's currently in stable condition.

Officials say the suspect was last seen wearing a white shirt, and a red bandana around his head.
