One man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Amityville, according to police.

Suffolk County police say the accident happened near Oakley Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Detectives say a motorcyclist identified as Rocco Pesce, of Massapequa, was riding along County Line Road when he struck a car as it was turning left into a driveway.

The 25-year-old victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
