Police: 1 person found stabbed at Norwalk High School; suspects taken into custody

Police say the victim was found on the high school's football field and taken to a hospital.

Two people were taken into custody following a stabbing at Norwalk High School Friday night, officials said.
Tyllis Gay and Dior Sebastian Bell, 21, and both from Norwalk, are charged with assault.
Police say Gay punched a juvenile in the face and Bell then stabbed the victim.
The victim was found on the school's football field and taken to Norwalk Hospital with life-threatening injuries. There is no word on the their condition or if they are a student at the high school.
School officials say it happened after school hours, and the individuals involved were not at the school for any school-related events.
Authorities say Gay was was located less than a mile from the high school at Nathan Hale Middle School. They say he got rid of a knife and attempted to flee before being caught.
Bell was found on Strawberry Hill Avenue and taken into custody.
Police say they believe the stabbing was an isolated incident. They also believe the attacks were unprovoked
In a statement the school said, "The Norwalk Public Schools Crisis Intervention Team will be available at Norwalk High School on Sunday to provide social and emotional support for students, staff and the community. The Crisis Intervention Team will remain at the school throughout next week to provide ongoing support for staff and students."
