Police: 1 person hospitalized in brutal brawl by alleged gang members in Yonkers

Five people are facing gang assault charged and police are searching for dozens of others following a brawl in Yonkers, police say.

The victim is at a trauma ward where he is being treated fir brain hemoorhage, broken teeth and swelling to his face and body.
Yonkers Police Department Commissioner John Mueller says they need people to help them find the suspects. “We can’t do it unless they’re willing to take a stand with us,” Mueller says.
The Yonkers area has had recent incidents like this onen with with a drive-by shooting injuring four people and a 6-year-old being shot in the chest in April.
Neighbors like Linda Wright are hoping there will be a stop to the violence.
“Just praying, literally, that we stop this,” Wright says. “Stop the violence. Because we don’t need to be killing each other.”
Yonkers police are actively searching for others responsible for the brawl.
