Police say one person is in the hospital after being stabbed with a sharp object inside a laundromat in Longwood.

Police say it happened around 2:30 p.m. In surveillance video obtained by News 12, it appears the weapon used was a machete.

The video shows a black BMW pull up to 559 Southern Blvd. The suspect is seen getting out of the front passenger side and running into the store with the weapon.

In the video, once the suspect leaves, another passenger of the car is seen forcefully throwing something into the store. Then, they both get back into the BMW and speed off.

Police say the victim suffered a cut to the hand. They say he was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln and is expected to be OK.

No arrests have been made at this time.
