A Bronx elementary school student claims someone attempted to abduct her on her way to school Friday.
Police say the 10-year-old girl immediately reported the incident to school officials at P.S. 63. It's still unclear what happened to the student at this time, but News 12 has learned that the incident occurred inside the apartment building where the girl lives.
Investigators were at the school Friday morning after staff members reported the incident to the authorities.
Officials say the girl was taken to Lincoln Hospital, but she did not suffer any serious injuries and is expected to be OK.
The principal of one of the two schools on campus said parents were notified about the incident via robo-call.
The NYPD Special Victims Unit is investigating the possible abduction.
