A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that left a Yonkers man dead.

A little more than a month ago, 28-year-old Daoud Marji was shot in the head, according to the NYPD. It happened in the Kingsbridge Heights area of the Bronx.

Police sources previously told News 12 that Marji did not appear to be the intended target.

His family says he was visiting a friend in the Bronx when the shooting happened.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with the killing.

People who live near Marji's family in Yonkers say they are shocked by what happened and by the age of the suspect.

"I feel sad for his parents and I hope they recover," one neighbor told News 12.

The 13-year-old's name hasn't been released due to his age. He faces charges of second-degree murder, manslaughter and criminal use of a firearm.
