Police: 16-year-old girl critically injured in Boerum Hill shooting

Police say it is still unclear what led up to the moments before the shots rang out. It is unknown if the incident was an accident or if the 16-year-old was the intended target.

A teen girl is in critical condition and is fighting for her life after a shooting in Boerum Hill Friday afternoon. 
Police tell News 12 that a 16-year-old was shot in the head just after 3 p.m. at 153 Wyckoff and Hoyt Street. 
It appears the incident happened near the perimeter of a park. This marks the fifth teen that has been shot citywide this week. 
Police say it is still unclear what led up to the moments before the shots rang out. It is unknown if the incident was an accident or if the 16-year-old was the intended target. 
The 16-year-old is fighting for her life at Methodist Hospital. Police say no arrests have been made at this time.
